All Ghanon members have formally agreed to abide by the following code of conduct:-
1) Membership by invitation only
2) Members must be at least 18 years old
3) Meetings are held monthly and are all free of charge
4) You may not bring friends/relatives to any meetings or vigils without permission from one of the co-ordinators
5) If you publish any photograph, video or information you obtain during investigations (either in print or on the internet) you may NOT use the Ghanon name unless you have the permission of one of the co-ordinators
6) You must NOT issue any statements to the media concerning any case without permission from one of the co-ordinators
7) You may not commit Ghanon to an investigation without first speaking to one of the co-ordinators who will then raise the issue at the next scheduled meeting
8) On all vigils, you are required to bring the minimum equipment: 2-way radio, 2 pens, clipboard, digital watch, portable chair & small torch with filter (or red light pen) - anything else is optional
9) Documentation must be completed by each member for every vigil attended, unless by prior arrangement
10) During a vigil, mobile phones should always be switched to ‘silent’ mode
11) During a vigil, digital cameras must have any type of "sound effect" switched off
12) You are prohibited from carrying out or advocating any type of hoax during an investigation, whether it be the purposes of a test or a joke
13) There will be no charge for vigils unless there is a cost incurred for the use of the site
14) Attending all meetings or ghost hunts is not compulsory, however, if you do not attend either within 3 months or your yearly attendance is less than 50%, membership shall cease (unless very special circumstances)
15) At least one co-ordinator must be present at every vigil
16) When a vigil is planned, you will be informed at our monthly meeting, or if at late notice, by telephone - if you have accepted and then find you are unable to attend please telephone one of the co-ordinators at the earliest convenience
17) You must NOT be under the influence of alcohol or drugs during any investigation
